Why We Exist?
Almost 1600 years ago, Augustine wrote, "You have made us for yourself, God, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You." Just like Augustine, we've found that life doesn't make sense apart from God. There is a part of us that is eternal, our soul, and it longs to know the Eternal Being who created it.
And yet, something has gone horribly wrong. All you have to do is watch the nightly news..wars, disease, murder, poverty, violence. The paradise God created for us to enjoy for eternity with Him has been lost, and we are the ones responsible. We've turned our backs on God and tried to make life work on our own terms.
But God loved us too much to leave us lost, hopelessly separated from him and the life he created us for. He sent Jesus to show us who God is and make a way that we might live life the way God intended, in intimate and vital relationship with Himself.
Cru is a home for the religiously restless and the spiritually seeking. It's a place to explore Christian Spirituality by getting to know Jesus: who he is and the relationship he offers. It's a place to ask questions, give opinions and share our spiritual journeys.
Cru is not about having all the answers but asking the right questions. It's not about conformity but about creativity. It's not about religion but about relationships.
Cru of New Mexico is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, an international, interdenominational ministry founded in 1951 on the campus of UCLA.
