Home to over 14 million people, Guadalajara is the second largest city in Mexico . Guadalajara is known as the most Mexican of Mexican cities, the birthplace of the Mariachi, the Mexican Hat Dance and tequila. In the mountains at nearly six thousand feet, it also has amazing weather with an average year around temperature of 75 degrees. With it's history and architecture, its shopping, its restaurants and cultural life and its mild climate, Guadalajara is one of the greatest cities to visit in Mexico . It is also home to over a dozen universities, including the Universidad de Guadalajara which has an enrollment of 185,000 students by itself.

A few months ago, the Cru staff and students decided that it wasn't enough to just tell students at UNM or TVI or even around New Mexico about Jesus. As we began to look at the world, God reminded us that his heart is for every person in the world and our little part of the world God's called us to trust Him for is Guadalajara, Mexico.

But what we still need are students from Cru at UNM and around New Mexico to join with us to tell the students of Guadalajara about Jesus...and to invest a spring break or a summer or a year there so that Mexican students will see that Christianity is not just a religion of ritual and tradition for old people, but it is a living and active relationship with a Heavenly Dad.

God is doing some amazing things in Guadalajara . Over the past year, 40 students have begun a relationship with God. They are Journeying into God's heart just like we are and they've invited us to help them introduce their friends to Jesus. Come with us to Guad and see God's heart for Mexican students!
